I really like what you have done with his little one shot. The mixture of longing for the past and making the most of the present is a realistic portrayal of how Kagome might feel. That they decide to move forward together is a good way to end it.

I love the way you wrote this. Just enough detail from each of their point of view . And ended up with just a touch of bittersweet happiness.
