I read the story that you gained inspiration from about a year ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it and i could see the resemblance after the first paragraph. That story first opened my mind to the idea of Naraku as the protective older brother/father figure instead of the enemy. Anyways, back to your story, i would love to read another story around the same theme and i'm already seeing how you're making it your own. I'll definitely be looking out for future updates ^_^ Keep up the great work.
